This was a day filled with fun activities. Ladies Pro/Am, Mark S. Allen Challenge,
and first matches of the Main Draw.
Not as many matches today, but the intensity is up and the Del Oro
Tennis Complex is now sporting a "Stadium Court"!

My friends
and fellow tennis players saw this picture and asked me - is this a trick? or a goof?
I thought it was too, as I have not seen Brian play. So, being a tournament photographer, I figured I would find out when he is up and go see for myself...
When I saw a double handed racquet come out of the bag, I did not know what to think. The curiosity took over and I forgot about taking pictures when I saw
a toss go about 20 ft up in the air.
Then the racquet went from one hand into another, and a true
volleyball jump-serve concluded the routine. WOW!!!
The return from this 130 mph spike slowly floated over the net at about 7.5 ft for a nice soft put away by Brian... Here
